OPEN FOR TRADE: Micro Metal Binder Clip

Hi Folks,
The first trade has been officially made. I must admit that I was a bit lax in getting this written up as I have been super busy, but I want to thank Chelsea H. from Minnesota for providing the very first trade in this journey!

She generously traded up my Snarling Dog Brain Pick for this Micro Metal Binder Clip. This clip is very useful for holding pieces of paper together and promoting organization, while helping to minimize the coffee spill vs. paper area amount.

Please let me know if you are interested in trading up for this wondrous item!

TRADE COMPLETE: Snarling Dogs .73mm Brain Pick

I thought I would start this whole process off with something very near and dear to my heart: My favorite guitar pick in the world!

It's a Snarling Dogs .73mm Brain Pick.

This is the very pick that I used to record the accompanying audio. Many a tune have been written, and many a string has been strung by these picks. This one, however, is brand spanking new, except for the it's audio debut.

So who wants to trade?

I recorded this pick being dropped, scraped, and settling.
Use the audio however you would like. It's completely license, royalty, and credit free!

Trading for a Dream

My Dream is to be able to create audio, compose, and voice act full-time. I'm trying an experiment to see if I can help that dream come true: TK's Sound Tradeup.

Remember that urban myth about the guy who started out with a paperclip, and kept making trades until he ended up with a house? I want to try something like that, and chronicle it with everybody's help, but with a TK Twist!

You can help me live my dream by trading up what I have--nothing crazy, just a slight trade up, and I'll take pictures all along the way, so everybody can experience the journey. I set up a PO Box you can send the tradeup to. So if you think you can help me, please send me your trade for the current item, and I'll send the current item back to you. And it can be any item--no need to confine it to the audio realm. As long as you think it will help me take a step forward on my journey, we're on!

But I don't want this to be entirely one-sided. I'm going to record sound effects with each item received, whether it's just knocking, scraping, bouncing, pulling, rolling it across a surface, or making sounds with the item as it was actually intended to be used. I'm going to post these sounds free for download. These sounds are to be considered completely royalty, license, and credit free. Use these sounds for whatever you'd like!

And finally, I'm going to compose a music piece with each of these sounds--no effects, just placement, mixing and mastering. I'll post progress as I go along, starting with something extremely sparse, and finally, whenever my dream has come true, a full, mixed, and mastered release.

I will format this blog so that the current item up for trade is on top, followed by the sound effects, and then the current version of the composition.

So if you can help me with a trade, please send me an email, and I'll post which item is going to be traded (that way only one item arrives for the current trade). Then, please send the item to the address below, and once I receive your tradeup, I will in return send you the trade. Oh, and please make sure the item is legal to send in the mail and won't cost too much to send back through the mail (at least in the beginning--of course if you have something pretty awesome in mind...).
